Start your journey, from Arusha and head towards Lake Manyara National Park for a full day experience with a picnic lunch. Situated at the foot of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment, Lake Manyara is renowned for its beauty in Africa. The park is distinguished by its greenery, including trees in the groundwater forest that serve as habitats for groups of baboons and blue monkeys. As you move through the park, you'll encounter a mix of woodlands, grasslands, swamps, and the picturesque soda lake, where you can spot over 350 bird species like flamingos, pelicans, sacred ibises, grebes, and storks. Towards the park's tip lie hot sulfur springs known as Maji Moto. Lake Manyara is famous for its wildlife, such as buffalo, elephants, giraffes, impalas, hippos, and a wide range of animals, not to mention the elusive tree-climbing lions. Later, in the afternoon, drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After having breakfast, head towards Serengeti National Park. Upon reaching the Naabi Hills gate and completing the formalities, you will enter Serengeti, which is considered one of the parks on Earth. This renowned park spans over 14,000 kilometers. It boasts an impressive array of wildlife, including the largest concentration of big cats such as cheetahs, lions, leopards, and wildcats. The Serengeti showcases landscapes ranging from savannah with plains in the south to hills and woodlands in the west, kopjes areas in the east, and bushland in the north. The park is intersected by rivers like Seronera, Banagi, and Grumeti. During game drives, visitors can spot a variety of species, including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and antelopes, as well as hippos and crocodiles. Later, in the afternoon, drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After enjoying breakfast, take a drive through the Serengeti plains. The Serengeti is renowned as one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries globally, boasting expansive and seemingly endless grasslands that teem with life during migration season. Witness herds of wildebeests and zebras alongside a variety of other animals such, as lions, leopards, cheetahs, impalas, buffaloes, diverse bird species and even, up to ten thousand majestic elephants. Later, in the afternoon drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After enjoying your morning meal, venture down into the Ngorongoro Crater, a 100-square-mile expanse teeming with wildlife on its floor. The craters base is speckled with watering holes and hosts 30,000 animals within its confines, formed by the surrounding volcano slopes. Here you can spot creatures like the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos and leopards. Known as the caldera globally and encircled by towering walls rising 610 meters from the ground, Ngorongoro is hailed as one of Nature’s marvels and serves as a sanctuary for diverse wildlife. Its rich biodiversity ensures breathtaking animal encounters year-round, thanks to the abundance of grasslands and water sources. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the Hippo Pool Later, in the afternoon, drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After enjoying breakfast at the lodge, take a drive to Mto wa Mbu for a visit with the women. You'll have the chance to observe their routines, such as farming and participating in women’s financing groups. Join them for a lunch to savor authentic African cuisine. Following lunch, return to either the airport or stay in Arusha overnight.
